This was a tough shoot…

10:00am – I fly into QLD – Surfers Paradise for Top Gear and meet with journalist Ben Smithhurst.

12:00pm – We travel for 2 hours to pick up both cars.

2:00pm – we travel back to the city and begin scouting locations for later in the afternoon. Zero shots taken at this time.

2:30pm – Grab lunch

3:00pm – We travel up the mountains for some cornering shots.

3:30pm – I finally setup for some cornering shots and Ben and the second driver do 2 passes.
I say over the radio ‘another pass and we have it’. Ben replied over the radio ‘There might be a slight problem…. the car is running but it has locked itself… and im not in the car… but the keys are!’

6:30pm – Spare keys are finally dropped off and I have taken 2 shots… hmmm a 10 page spread and I have about 2 hours to shoot everything… oh did I mention it has just started raining?

Luckily we were able to get everything shot… and I still have most of my hair on my head…
